Company

Welcome to PLAY it Forward® Adventures (PIF), where adventure travel meets volunteer vacationing! I’m Jodi Nelson, PIF Founder and Tour Leader. Our mission is to provide all-encompassing travel experiences that empower people and enrich lives. All tours are built on a foundation of serving, exploring and connecting.

Serve

Open your mind when you volunteer in local communities.

Volunteering abroad helps you to think beyond your own needs and be of service to others. PIF service projects can be completed during our visit, and they improve quality of life for the locals we serve.

Explore

Exercise your body as you explore international landscapes.

Leave no trace as you have a cultural experience in an eco-friendly way. PIF takes you off the beaten path—from the seat of a bike, on foot or by boat—providing spontaneous interactions with locals along the way.

Connect

Feed your spirit by connecting with locals, nature, fellow travelers and yourself.

PIF allows you to step away from the comforts of home and in a safe environment. Share special moments with locals and like-minded travelers while making memories to last you a lifetime.

Founder & Tour Leader

Jodi Nelson

Hi, I'm Jodi, PLAY it Forward® Adventures (PIF) Founder and Tour Leader. I have a passion for travel, people, culture and adventure. And, I like the stories that arise along the way.

I started PIF in 2007, following my life-long dream of launching an adventure travel company. PIF believes in giving back to locals in the places we play. I'm a firm believer that it is in giving that we receive.

I'm a habitual traveler, former Wilderness First Responder and WMI Wilderness First Aid graduate. So far I've had the opportunity to travel to over 20 countries and five continents, and I'm not done yet.

When I'm not traveling with PIF, I'm producing heart felt stories through my production company Blue Morpho Films, where we aim to inspire life through art and soul.

Sponsorship

STORMTECH Performance Apparel

PIF is proud to be sponsored by STORMTECH Performance Apparel. Since 1977, they have been developing highly technical outdoor apparel and accessories for men, women and children. In addition to their commitment to durable and high-quality products, STORMTECH takes responsibility for our world.

Not only do they comply with all environmental regulations, they have also created their own standards for ethical production. As a global company, they believe in supporting practices that respect the health, safety and dignity of the workers who make their products. STORMTECH is also a proud member of both Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) and Fair Labor Association.

Interested in sponsoring?

We're proud to partner with organizations who have a similar mission to serve, explore and connect. There are many ways for our sponsors to contribute to the PIF mission. If you'd like to learn more about these opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.

We were able to walk on tiny roads throughout villages of Rhotia Valley, dance with our guides/porters at a local club, and get to know our leaders on a very personal level. It was extraordinary.”
